Andromeda Company was established in 1989 as a privately-owned firm with a highly qualified staff. The company activity is directed to designing and production of non-standard equipment but the executive body considers that the main activity should be designing of batch production machines.

The first machines designed and manufactured at the company were intended for the construction: tube-bending machines up to 4” by direct pressure and rotation; a machine for cutting and bending of bar iron – up to O 32 mm; machine for straightening and cutting of reeled bar iron; concrete mixers, etc.

All those machines are well accepted in the domestic market.

In 1994 the first “RASMA” machines for extraction of sunflower seed oil and filter presses for its filtration were first sold in the Bulgarian market.

Both the machines and the products obtained with them are approved by the Ministry of Public Health as they meet the respective requirements.

Along with the production of the machines they have been constantly improved and technologies for extraction of peanut, sesame, almond, apricot kernel, pumpkin seed, walnut, linseed oil, etc. have been implemented.

The oils approved for nutrition purposes by the Ministry of Public Health are those of sunflower seed, sesame, almond, pumpkin seed, walnut and apricot kernel obtained by the cold method. These oils are not refined and keep the specific taste and smell of the respective raw material. The oil extraction temperature is about 50 o C thanks to which vitamins in the oils are preserved. Especially important is the Vitamin “E”-group, which is a natural preservative preventing the oil from oxidizing /going rancid/. The approved warranty period of the oils is 6 months but in practice it is 1 year.
